A glance at legal matters related to registered office

In UK, it is a must to have a registered office in order to run a company, association or a legal entity. It is regarded as the official address of a particular organization and all statutory post is sent to the registered office address. The registered office does not have to be in the place where the organization conducts its business.

There are some legal matters related to registered office which I want to share with my readers. Anyone who needs such an office will find them highly handy.

  • First, it should be registered with Companies Registry and the address should be notified to it.
  • Secondly, the address given as registered office must be a real one.
  • Thirdly, the name of the company must be displayed outside the office.
  • Then, the company’s stationeries must carry the name of the registered office.
  • Next, any change in the address of the office must be informed to the Company’s House using form 287.

Getting an address for a registered office is no more a tough task. There are online service providers who arrange this type of office at reasonable price. One can easily get a registered office if he goes through them.
